The cloud-based disaster recovery through private cloud computing will increase the speedof the disaster recovery process even if the computers are affected. There is virtually no limit to space in the cloud-based network which makes it useful forthe organizations with huge data.In the event of a disaster, near real-time replication to another location, be it an existing datacenter or a cloud provider, can ensure you that you will be back open for business with minimal impact on you or your customers. Recovering data a computer outage or some other issue is essential to getting your system back online. Today businesses are dependent on IT infrastructure for their operations. Making sure data on your system can easily be recovered in an efficient manner is critical to prevent extended downtime and negative impacts on your business. The challengeto disaster recovery is the restoration of data to your IT infrastructure. This data includes reloading the operating system,security patches and other software thatis required. Many larger private cloud implementations are running with a dedicated SAN and dedicated cloud controller. The virtualization in the private cloud provides the benefits of bare metal without being tied to a particular hardware. The virtual server can be backed up a snapshot including the operating system, applications, system registry and data. The simplest and the fastest way to assure that the data is safe and offsite is to backup servicers to a second data center that is geographically distanced from the production site. If a disaster occurs, newhardware will need to be located to run the system on, which can extend the recovery time depending on the hardware availability at the time of disaster.Dedicated warm site disaster recovery involves placing hardware servers at the offsite data center. If a disaster occurs, the backup virtual servers can be quicklyrestored to the host platforms. One advantage is that the hardware does notneed to match the production hardware. This disaster recovery site can use a scaled down set of hardware to host a select number of virtual servers or run ata slower throughout than the production environment. Though more expensive than warm site disaster recovery, SAN-SAN replication between clouds at the production and disaster recovery sites provide the fastest recovery and lowest data latency between systems. Depending on the recovery objectives, the secondary form SAN can be more cost effective in terms of the amount and type of storage, and the number andsize of physical hardware servers can also be scaled back to accommodate a lower performance solution in case of a disaster.
